Rumors have been flying about Buckhead's Nava closing and a new Ford Fry eatery taking over the spot, and now it's official: the Southwestern restaurant will close as soon as next month and Fry has already signed a lease to take over the spot come January.
The chef plans to completely renovate the Nava space for his new restaurant, which has yet to be named but will feature a Colonial American motif and "early American open oven cooking," according to BuckheadView. The entrance will be lined with dark hardwood bookshelves to set the tone, and there will be a private dining room called the Drawing Room, inspired by the colonial days when men would retire to an eponymous chamber after dinner for drinks and cigars. Buckhead Life Group and Nava have been denying rumors of the restaurant shuttering since early last month, but here it is straight from the mouth of Chef Ford Fry himself.
