Barcelona Restaurant and Wine Bar is now (soft) open. The Connecticut-based restaurant group owned by Sasa Mahr-Batuz and Andy Pforzheimer aims to capture the essence of Spanish cuisine - something that is sorely needed in Atlanta - in its menu of relatively authentic tapas and extensive wine list. Atlanta is the restaurant's first location outside of Connecticut and they maintain every outpost is unique. And they have made it known they do not like to be referred to as a chain. Atlanta architecture, planning and design firm, Square Feet Studio, designed and built out the space. The restaurant is open for lunch Sunday through Friday and dinner every night of the week.
