Jose Rego Confirms His Departure From Escorpion; Speaks About Why He Left

Jose Rego has confirmed that he has left Riccardo Ullio's restaurant, Escorpion. When asked why he is no longer working for Ullio, Rego had this to say via email:

The reason why I left is because Riccardo is a very unstable person. When the business is not doing well, he's decision making tends to be all over the place. I worked at Escorpion since August and he has had me change the menu more than 6 times. When Escorpion wasn't doing well he became a mad man and we all felt like we were walking on eggshells constantly. And I refuse to work for someone like that ever. Where am I going? I'm definitely leaving Atlanta. I'm looking into possibly going to either California, Chicago, Boston or Miami. We will see.
Eater Atlanta reached out to Ullio's representation for confirmation or a statement, but they have been unable to provide it. The word on the street is that a chef from Sotto Sotto is now cooking in Rego's place.
