More On The Bidding Process For Hartsfield Concessions

plane.jpgThomas Wheatley, reporter for Creative Loafing, examines what is happening in the generally screwy race for 150 concession and retial spaces at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. As we reported, all of the proposals were thrown out due to errors with the bidding requirements. Wheatley says: "The move raised questions among political observers and possible contractors who accused the city of playing favorites — particularly on the behalf of Mayor Kasim Reed's political buddies and celebrities." He also mentions (and embeds) Fox5's Dale Russell's video report, which aired on Tuesday. [CL]
