Thomas Wheatley, reporter for Creative Loafing, examines what is happening in the generally screwy race for 150 concession and retial spaces at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. As we reported, all of the proposals were thrown out due to errors with the bidding requirements. Wheatley says: "The move raised questions among political observers and possible contractors who accused the city of playing favorites — particularly on the behalf of Mayor Kasim Reed's political buddies and celebrities." He also mentions (and embeds) Fox5's Dale Russell's video report, which aired on Tuesday. [CL]
