Could Atlanta's antiquated blue days be a thing of the past? Today marks the day that Georgia voters in 51 metro Atlanta jurisdictions and 100 statewide decide whether the long-standing prohibition against package sales of beer, wine and booze on Sunday stays or goes. This all started when the Georgia Legislature gave local municipalities the option of offering voters the chance to vote on the issue earlier this year. There was already a special election scheduled so the issue was added to to the ballot. If the measure passes, each municipality will decide when it will go into effect.
