The ban of buying booze on Sundays in Georgia is now a thing of the past according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (and every other local news service). The blue law prohibiting Sunday Sales has been in effect since the 1800s and locals have been calling for its end for quite some time. While the vote was a near landslide, two cities - Palmetto in south Fulton and Forest Park in Clayton County - did not vote to lift the ban. The date the new law is effective will vary county by county. [AJC]
