1) East Atlanta: Joining Octane Grant Park on the east side coffee scene, Hodgepodge Coffeehouse and Gallery is set to open January 1st, confirms Creative Loafing. The space on Moreland Ave. near Little Azio's and Morelli's will be the retail outlet for Cupcake Crusade and serve Batdorf & Bronson coffee to "artists, cupcake and coffee lovers." [PLYWOOD]
2) Castleberry Hill: Aiming to reinvent the corner store, The Boxcar Grocer is now open in Castleberry Hill. Look for organic produce, fresh bakery treats, and a dairy selection including High Road Craft Ice Cream and other local faves. [POST-PLYWOOD]
3) Downtown: Restaurant, lounge, cafe and office space, Scene Cafe is close to securing approval for its building permit, reports What Now, Atlanta. 4) Cheshire Bridge: Hibachi-style Japanese restaurant Ichiban Steak & Sushi plans to open its third store, the first inside the perimeter, according to What Now, Atlanta.
