Gene Kansas' newest installment of "Sidewalk Radio" is now available and features some notable Atlanta personalities with close ties to the restaurant industry. The episode, "Food For Thought," features Steven Satterfield, chef/co-owner of Miller Union, Bill Johnson, Founder and Principal of The Johnson Studio, and Marie Nygren, one of the minds behind Serenbe, and Don Rooney, the curator of Urban and Regional History at The Atlanta History Center. Kansas speaks with all of these vibrant personalities about the history and heritage of Southern food and where it stands today. A notable quote from Satterfield: "It's constantly trying to wipe the bacon grease off of its hand. It's like we don't really want to be Southern because we are the big city." You can listen to the episode on Sidewalkradio.com or download it if you're on the go.
