It was announced today that Jamestown procured City Hall East for $27 million. The development's blog confirms that the old Sears building will, in fact, be called Ponce City Market. In an official statement, a spokesperson from Jamestown said:
Redevelopment is scheduled to begin almost immediately. Once the redevelopment has been completed in early 2014 Ponce City Market will have a mixture of retail, dining, office and residential spaces.
They also went on to add that they'll be opening the building "one more time" to the public during a fundraiser for the BeltLine.
