Spaghetti Night; Da Beards; Battling Burgers; Hatch Chiles

DECATUR: No. 246 will launch Monday night Spaghetti Suppers starting August 1st. For $24, diners will receive a local market salad, a choice from three different spaghetti dishes - such as spaghetti with meatballs, clams, or carbonara - garlic bread, and dessert. [EaterWire]

MIDTOWN: Taste of Atlanta is co-hosting a James Beard Celebrity Chef dinner the weekend of August 12th at The Four Seasons Hotel. Friday is a cocktail party with pairings from local bartenders. Saturday is a 3-course meal prepared by Robert Gerstenecker of The Four Seasons, Edward Lee of 610 Magnolia in Louisville, KY and James Lewis of Bettola in Birmingham, AL. WESTSIDE: It's Hatch chile season. The Chiles with a cult following are only in season from mid-August through late September.
