The Calera, Alabama police have arrested two people they suspect are responsible for robbing 18 Metro Atlanta Waffle House locations since July 27. Rodney B. Lofton and Deontae Conway were apprehended on Saturday. According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the robberies all have a similar "strategy": "The perpetrators appear to be two hungry men, placing a to-go order at the Waffle House counter in the early-morning hours. They order food, then sit and wait while the food is prepared. But when the food is ready and it's time to pay, one of the men pulls a gun and demands cash." This is the second string of restaurant robberies Atlanta has seen in recent months. The suspect in the Burger King robberies was allegedly shot and killed during his latest attempt last week. [AJC]
