1) Kirkwood: The Spotted Trotter, a local charcuterie artisan, will open its first retail location at 1610 Hosea L. Williams Drive on September 9th. The new space will also house The Trotter's production facility. [PLYWOOD]
2) Buckhead: There's been a lot of mumbling that Bocado is looking to open a second location. We confirmed with owner Brian Lewis that he is looking to open a second restaurant in Buckhead, but the concept will be completely different than Bocado's. No word on whether chef Todd Ginsberg will be involved. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
3) Downtown: Fifth Group has started construction on its new Mexican concept, Alma Cocina, which will be located in the shuttered Il Mulino Space. Alma is slated to open mid-November 2011. [PLYWOOD]
4) Unknown: Decatur-based Community Q is also "casually" looking for a second location according to a staff member at the wildly successful farm-to-tableish barbecue spot. No details, however, on which neighborhood the owners are targeting. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
5) Downtown: James Oxendine, of Atlanta Magazine, reports that Blossom Tree, a Korean eatery, has opened downtown. [POST-PLYWOOD]
6) Downtown: Cliff Bostock, of Creative Loafing, reports that Yumbii will open soon in the former Greek Gyros and Pizza space at Sweet Auburn Curb Market. Bostock also report that Sweet Auburn Barbecue has opened in the Market as well. [PLYWOOD]
