An Octane For Grant Park, Another Cacao, And More

1) Grant Park: Octane Coffee will open its Grant Park location in a few weeks according to its blog. Pastries will be provided by The Little Tart bakery and the coffee shop is introducing table service after 5p.m. to "be combined with not just our coffee offerings, but craft and local beers, wine, a new and improved cocktail menu, and an open kitchen which will be pumping out a seasonal small plate menu." 2) Dahlonega: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Chef Steven Hartman and General Manager Brad Egnor have left La Vigne's restaurant and opened Buttermilk Fried Chicken, a fried chicken spot that uses Springer Mountain Chicken and serves a handful of sides made with local vegetables. 3) Virginia-Highland: Cacao Atlanta has opened its third location in Virginia Highland. James Oxendine of Atlanta Magazine reports the new store is located at 312 North Highland Avenue and serves pastries. [POST-PLYWOOD]

4) Old Fourth Ward: Pastry chef Taria Camerino will open the new location of Sugar Coated Radical on September 1st. Camerino reports the new location (108 Howell Street, 30312) has a kitchen, which will allow the shop to expand its offerings beyond her innovative chocolates. [PLYWOOD]

5) Poncey-Highlands: Chef Anne Quatrano revealed in The New York Times article on The Ponce City Market that she will open a po-boy shop in the new development. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

6) Atlantic Station: What Now Atlanta reports that frozen yogurt mogul Pinkberry will open its fifth Atlanta store in Atlantic Station. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
