Chef Frank Abbinanti has developed a kitchen training program for homeless men at the Atlanta Mission, reports The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Growing from his experience with Georgia Dome food service company Levy Restaurants' outreach at the mission, Abbinanti's personal development program is now part of the other initiatives that help the homeless transition to independent living. Participants were treated to a kitchen tour, lunch, and tickets on a game day at the Dome; and graduates will be considered for possible staff positions in "Chef Frank's" kitchen. [AJC]
