MIDTOWN: On Sunday, Empire State South will host a six-course "sous chef's dinner" to benefit Wholesome Wave Georgia. The cost is $125, with a whopping 75% of proceeds going to Wholesome Wave. For more info, click here. [EaterWire]

Also in MIDTOWN this Sunday, Spice Market will celebrate Chinese New Year with free snacks at the bar; a $28 four-course tasting menu; beer and cocktail specials; and fortune cookies with discounts for future visits. Also, decorations. [EaterWire]

MORNINGSIDE/VAHI: Underground supper club PushStart Kitchen honors the winter doldrums with (what else?) a dinner party in an undisclosed location (specially crafted table and all). More details on the two seatings (one Friday and one Saturday) here. [EaterWire]

Another two events in MORNINGSIDE/VAHI: Neighborhood spot Rosebud will have a Chinese New Year celebration on Monday. Then, on Tuesday, chef Ron Eyester will rehearse a Beatles-inspired menu for his upcoming James Beard House visit by offering the meal to guests here in Atlanta. More on both events here.
