Lead dining critic for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, John Kessler has posted his favorite plates of 2011. The illustrated list of 14, which he limited to only dishes he sampled for reviews, includes the "plump" duck breast with Thai risotto at Rathbun's, "thrillingly weird" Paloma de Mezcal cocktail at Escorpion, lunch buffet at Inchin's Bamboo Garden (where "you will go back for fourths"), profiteroles at La Fourchette, and wood-roasted venison at 4th & Swift ("engineered to make you go 'ooooooh'"). Kessler also notes the "Best of the Big A" list of favorites from both the readers and all AJC critics, including shout-outs to Bell Street Burritos, Antico Pizza, Hal's, and Fox Bros. among others.
