Dining editor and restaurant critic, Bill Addison of Atlanta Magazine first reported that Bocado owner Brian Lewis' new concept in Buckhead will include Joshua Hopkins, formerly of Abattoir, as its executive chef. The restaurant, STG Trattoria, is set to open in March and will focus on pizza, pasta, and charcuterie, along with a strong wine and bar program. Lewis is partnering with ai3 again on the space's design. Addison also notes that Adam Waller will be the chef de cuisine at STG, after a very short stint as chef at Escorpion.
In other post-Westside chef news, Patric Bell's new venture since leaving West Egg this fall appears to be his own business: private, special event cooking classes.
