Hints of Todd Ginsberg's impending move from Bocado to The General Muir, the Jewish deli concept from the West Egg team have been circulating recently, and now it's official: the chef will be in the kitchen of the Emory Point restaurant when it opens this winter.
The restaurant will be open all day and will have a full bar. Atlanta Magazine reports that traditional deli options will be offered for breakfast and lunch, while the dinner menu provides small, shared plates as well as larger entrees. "We don't want people to think too literally about it, expecting us to recreate Katz's or something," says owner Ben Johnson. "There will be classic dishes on the menu, but we are not pigeonholing ourselves as just a deli or just a Jewish restaurant. Todd is an amazing and creative chef and will have wide latitude to take things in new directions." Ginsberg's last day at Bocado is October 20.
