Gatsby's, the First US La Tagliatella, and More Open Soon

1) Buford Highway: New York-based drag theatre and restaurant Lips will replace what used to be Club Miami on Buford Highway. Set to open in March, this will be the chain's fourth location. [TNT]

2) Midtown: Next month, a new 1920's-style lounge and dessert bar will open in Midtown Promenade on Monroe Drive. Replaing Three-Legged Cowboy, Gatsby's will serve drinks, including a signature cocktail called Gatsby's Giggle Water, coffee, and dessert. [ABC]

3) Midtown: The first La Tagliatella to open in the United States comes to the Shops at Metropolis this fall. The restaurant concept, which currently has locations in France and Spain, has a menu that offers "over 400 combinations of pastas and sauces, antipasti, salads, [and] carpaccios" with generous portions "perfect for sharing." 4) Buckhead: After over a year, Modern is finally set to open this Saturday, October 20. Look for its patio, dining rooms, and cafe/open-air bazaar at 3365 Piedmont Road. [EaterWire]

5) Downtown: "Upscale beach, California-style" restaurant Big Kahuna will open soon in Suntrust Plaza. Its owners include a Twisted Taco founder and the owner of Havana Club. [EaterWire]

6) Buckhead: Watch out Twin Peaks, because competition is a-comin': Hooter's may replace the Container Store at the intersection of Peachtree Road and Piedmont Road when the shop closes next month. Should everything go according to plan, the restaurant will open in the spring. [TNT]
