Starting Monday, your chicken cravings can easily be satisfied. That's when Bantam & Biddy, the long-awaited rotisserie restaurant by Shaun Doty and Lance Gummere, finally opens its doors to the public. From the looks of it, though, it's going to be a long weekend for the duo, as construction isn't quite finished yet.
But come October 29, the fun begins with lunch and dinner. Then comes the liquor, and next month, the restaurant will open at 8 a.m., serving— what else?— chicken and waffles, of course. There will also be chopped liver on toast, pork schnitzel with fried egg and grits, and buttermilk biscuits, but we're getting ahead of ourselves.
For now, focus on the fried chicken tenders, the spicy wings, the chicken salad banh mi, and, if you haven't heard enough about it already, the duck fat fries. The most obvious choice, the rotisserie chicken, comes in quarter- and half-portions with a choice of two sides. There's your chance to try those duck fat fries again! Salads, sandwiches, pasta, and pies are available as well.
