Kevin Rathbun has three restaurants in Atlanta— Rathbun's, Krog Bar, and Kevin Rathbun Steak— and another one on the way. Here, the chef talks about his "moment," which came when he opened his first restaurant after 28 years of being in the business working for others. He cried the day Rathbun's opened in 2004. "I'd been doing restaurants all my life," Rathbun says, "But the one thing I knew that I could do, was once I got opened, I could run [the restaurant]. And that was a moment for me."
