Gio's Chicken Amalfitano Opens Soon Next to Antico

The newest addition to Giovanni Di Palma's Antico Pizza empire, Gio's Chicken Amalfitano, is almost here. To recap, the pizza maker first announced that he'd be opening a gelateria/cafe/limoncello bar called Bar Antico, but plans for its opening have been pushed back until next year. It will open this spring in the new Piazza San Gennaro near Antico, which will also have a pastry shop, a pasta shop, street food carts, and more.

In the meantime, there's good news: The Gio's Chicken Amalfitano takeout counter will open very soon— an employee of Antico reports within the next two weeks— next to Antico from 5 p.m. until the chicken runs out daily.
