It was rumored, and now it's official: Sauced will soon close its doors. The restaurant's owner, Ria Pell, recently won an episode of Chopped, and at the viewing party, Bruce Logue approached her and later made an offer to buy out the space. His Italian restaurant, BoccaLupo, will open there next spring. In a message on her Facebook today, Pell says, "It's definitely bittersweet to have such great success and then close our doors, but another door is surely opening on the horizon." Ria's Bluebird, her breakfast spot in Grant Park, will remain open. Read the full Facebook message here.
