For the Atlanta Journal-Constitution this week, Jon Watson takes on Ammazza. He shuts down any and all comparisons to Antico and awards the restaurant two shiny stars: "With a few more tweaks, this could be one of the top destination pizza spots in town."
Brad Kaplan reviews Yebo for Creative Loafing and calls the restaurant, where "South meets South Africa" in Phipps Plaza, "an oasis of safari chic." The service is still a bit green and a few dishes are fine but forgettable, but all in all, "Yebo is a nice departure from the ordinary, especially given the setting in Phipps Plaza. If Yebo would focus more on the unique aspects of South African cuisine, it just might earn destination status."
One Little Pig gets on the Antico bandwagon and checks out Kan Pai Cafe, ATL Food Snob visits Muss & Turner's, Hot Dish Review has Sunday brunch at Serpas, Marie, Let's Eat tries Pho Dai Loi 2 and Empire State South, and Bella Vivere goes to RA Sushi.
