KR SteakBar, the new restaurant Cliff Bramble and Kevin Rathbun hope to have open by the end of January, in time for Valentine's Day, is coming along quite nicely. The space in Peachtree Hill's ADAC West will have an open kitchen, a wine room, and a full bar that will, of course, serve craft cocktails to go with the menu's small-plated steaks and Italian fare including homemade pastas (and gluten-free options!) made by chef de cuisine Chris McDade. There will also be an outdoor patio, a lounge area, private dining space, and a long, high table for people to gather around with cocktails and shared plates. Renderings can be found right here.
Like all of Rathbun's restaurants, KR SteakBar will serve dinner six days a week and close on Sundays, a measure he calls an "employee retention" policy. Unlike Kevin Rathbun Steak, Rathbun's, and Krog Bar, however, this venture will not be in Inman Park. The chef thinks it's good to "diversify" and venture into a new neighborhood, especially because of how concentrated the restaurant scene in Inman Park has gotten since his first restaurant opened in the area. Another plus, he says, is ADAC West's safe and ample parking.
