Ford Fry to Launch Non-Profit Food Truck in 2013

Atlanta chef Ford Fry is expanding his empire into the world of food trucks. He's teaming up with City of Refuge, a non-profit organization dedicated to community development efforts, to create a food truck concept that's scheduled to launch in the spring of 2013. Community members from City of Refuge's 30314 zip code will work in the truck, which will be open to and serve the public. The name and the concept of the mobile project have yet to be determined, but Fry says that it will be "quirky and delicious."

Ford Fry's other restaurants include The Optimist, JCT Kitchen, and No. 246. His Buckhead eatery King + Duke is set to open in March, and he has two rumored projects, which may or may not be serving either Austin-style Tex-Mex or Italian fare, one in Alpharetta's Avalon development and one in what used to be Bluepointe.
