Jeff Myers Goes Way OTP; Big Kahuna; And More

1) Cave Spring: Jeff Myers (the Sound Table and Top Flr) is opening a new restaurant 15 miles southwest of Rome, Georgia, according to Tomorrow's News Today. Myers' Waterclub will be open for two sold-out Valentine's Day seatings, then begins regular business starting February 23. [POST-PLYWOOD]

2) Downtown: Cali-Mex restaurant Big Kahuna is coming to SunTrust Plaza this spring, reports What Now, Atlanta. The beach-style spot will be the flagship, with the owners planning multiple locations. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

3) Everywhere: New food truck Banged Up and Mashed has hit the streets to serve English pub-inspired faves, notes ATL Food Snob. [POST-PLYWOOD]

4) Chamblee: Caterer Brown's BBQ now has a brick and mortar space at 2148 Johnson Ferry Road, open Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner. [POST-PLYWOOD]

5) Decatur: Rumor has it that Zucca Pizza might close later this month, to be replaced by Colbeh Persian Kitchen, says Decatur Metro. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

6) Airport: Japanese quick-serve restaurant Teriyaki Experience will open a second Atlanta location inside the Hartsfield-Jackson atrium in late 2012 or early 2013, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. [PLYWOOD]

7) Buckhead: Tavern 99 has opened a new weekend concept, The Boom Boom Room, inside the bar's back room. Open Friday and Saturday nights from 11 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., Boom Boom serves up flatbread pizzas and 70's and 80's funk music. [POST-PLYWOOD]
