What do you get when 1,200 pounds of bacon meet a bunch of actors dedicated to charity? BaconFest! You read that right: 1,200 pounds of bacon will be donated (by Vortex), cooked (by D.B.A. Barbecue) and served (outside Dad’s Garage Theatre Sunday, March 31) as part of this annual gathering.
Anyone can partake in the festivities from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. for $25, with proceeds benefiting Dad’s Garage. There will be tastings by Diesel Filling Station, P’cheen. Pine Street Market and Whynatte, beer provided by Ale Yeah! and Pabst Blue Ribbon, live music, a silent auction, and tons of silly, not-politically-correct games. Think wheelchair obstacle course, an insult booth, awkward conversations with Clint; and a Victorian phone sex booth. BaconFest is for ages 21 and up only—you can probably see why!
