Everywhere— It got academical and downright pedantic on Curbed this week, with Rookie Roosts ushering in Curbed University courses on everything one needs to know about seeking a domicile in Atlanta...whether it be buying or renting. Links to all of it can be found here.

The BeltLine— We loves us some Atlanta BeltLine, and this week Curbed Fieldtrips took the excellent FREE tour of the BeltLine. Hopefully our intrepid correspondent's account will inspire you to spend a Saturday morning learning about this much ballyhooed "emerald neckalce" and visiting parts of the city we'd bet you've never been, even if you're a native ATLien.

Buckhead, VaHi & Marietta— Like Whitney Houston (RIP), we sincerely believe that the children are our future. Hence our new series 'Think of the Children,' which this week examined starter homes in places good for kids as part of our Rookie Roosts theme. As ever, setting a price for a 'starter house' that applies to everyone is difficult. But hopefully you'll get the point.

House of the Week— Though often mistaken for Ansley Park, Midtown or Morningside, little Piedmont Heights is its own little 'hood over near the Ansley Mall. Given its proximity to so many of Atlanta's highlights (Piedmont Park, Virginia Highland, Midtown), the cost of entry can be rather high. But lo and behold, we found a real bargain of a house that- with a little TLC (and tolerance for the reverse gear in your car)- could be made into a lovely little home.
