Former Atlanta Critic Besha Rodell IN at LA Weekly

Last month, the Atlanta restaurant world was shocked to learn that local rag Creative Loafing had laid off its main food critic, the James Beard-nominated Besha Rodell.

Now, LA Weekly reports that it's picking up Rodell to be its new main food critic. She replaces the award winning and mustachioed ginger Jonathan Gold, who splashily left the paper last month to move to the LA Times, and joins a new brand new team, including a new blogger and new drinks columnist, at the paper's food section. Atlanta's loss is LA's gain.
