New Lounge (With Barbecue) Coming to Westside

Carizma Restaurant and Lounge is coming to Westside next week, reports Tomorrow's News Today. The restaurant took over what used to be London Bistro on Howell Mill Road and is set to open on May 1. It will feature a late-night dance club with either a DJ or live jazz and blues as well as the "best barbecue in town."

Owner Robert Washington will give free tapas-style sampling meals to the first 100 people to come to the lounge. The menu features entrees around seven dollars and highlights Southern staples like collard greens, sweet potato souffle, and cornbread in addition to the barbecue. Due to impending redevelopment in the area, Washington was only able to secure a six-month lease on the space to explore this interesting barbecue/nightclub concept.
