RED, the $2 million new Philips Arena restaurant created in coordination with Buckhead Life Restaurant Group’s Pano Karatassos, will open to the public April 21. The restaurant allows guests to watch Arena action, be it concerts or sporting events, from their table, while still maintaining the sleek feel of a BLRG restaurant.
Designed by The Johnson Studio (Bistro Niko, Ecco), RED will have a bar, tiered level bar and restaurant seating, terraced dining, and a “show kitchen” to entertain those who aren’t quite as interested in what’s going on courtside. With room to feed 250, RED will serve contemporary American fare such as lollipop chicken wings, crab cake BLTs, knife and fork steak and burgers, as well as some vegetarian options. The menu was designed by a collaboration of BLRG, Pano, Levy Restaurants Team and a Hawks and Philips Arena “task force.”
