Botekim Brazilian Bistro Gone for Good

Botekim Brazilian Bistro in Marietta is no longer with us, according to a sign on the restaurant's door. The printed message (right) states, "We are sorry to inform our guests that Botekim has closed. Thanks for the support!" The restaurant was known for its non-churrascaria fare, which separated it from the more common Brazilian steakhouses. Its Facebook page and website both appear to be deleted.

Botekim was closed for five days of renovations in April but reopened with a new buffet on the 13th of the month, only to shutter permanently in May. The location on Terrell Mill road has seen four restaurants in the past six years, with Shane's Rib Shack, Hickory House Cafe, and Big Ed's Pig 'n Pit Barbecue occupying the space before the Brazilian joint took over in the summer of 2011.
