Dallas-based Pizza Patrón will give free large pepperoni pies to anyone who calls and orders in Spanish from 5-8 PM on June 5. People are already up in arms about the maneuver, with Hispanics calling it discriminating and conservatives saying that the stunt "punishes" English-only speakers. If anyone could pull it off, though, its the Patrón proprietors, who get most of their business from the Hispanic community and started accepting pesos instead of dollars in 2007 despite the ensuing death threats.
