Watershed on Peachtree has rebuilt itself from the ashes of its previous Decatur location and opens today. The restaurant in Brookwood Hills features an expanded bar area, patio, private dining, complimentary valet, and a new menu by chefs Joe Truex and Julia LeRoy. The menu is heavy on Southern-inspired, farm-to-table food. Highlights include fried poached eggs with wild mushroom fricassee and black truffle gravy, coconut pancakes with whipped coconut butter and cane syrup, fried oysters with Vietnamese pickled vegetables and caper remoulade, sea scallop schnitzel with anchovies, capers, and a fried quail egg, and butter poached trigger fish with pecan dust and stuffed zucchini flowers. The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday, Sunday brunch, and family-style fried chicken nights on Wednesdays.
