1) Midtown: Proof and Provision, a "community bar," is opening in the Georgian Terrace Hotel below Livingston Restaurant + Bar June 1, according to What Now Atlanta. The menu will focus on barrel-aged cocktails such as ‘When I Was Eight’ (High West Oat grain vodka, Maison Prunier d’Orange, Pür Likör Blossom Elderflower Liqueur, citrus cream, dash of orange bitters). Livingston's Chef Zeb Stevenson will lead in the kitchen, preparing "snacks" like deviled eggs, chicken liver mousse, hot pretzels with mustard and cheese sauce, grilled cheese, and pigs in a blanket. 2) Edgewood: Lisbet Hernandez, the woman behind Arepa Mia (remember her from the Atlanta Underground Market?), has opened her own restaurant inside the Sweet Auburn Curb Market. Her Venezuelan arepas are made with locally sourced and organic ingredients, including Riverview Farms beef and kale. [POST-PLYWOOD]
3) Decatur: Thrillist reports The Purple Corkscrew Wine Room will open June 1 in Emory Village under Saba Restaurant. Expect a cozy spot with numerous wine options and munchies to go along with them. [PLYWOOD]
