Shaun Doty talks about his chicken joint, Bantam & Biddy, over at Nation's Restaurant News. The restaurant is scheduled to open in September in Ansley Mall and will be the second fast-casual concept for Doty, who co-founded the popular Yeah! Burger.
Bantam & Biddy plans to serve up rotisserie chicken with a few sides. The meat will be local, free-range, pastured poultry, and the sides will include traditional offerings like mashed potatoes and turnip greens as well as seasonal items like asparagus and radish. Breakfast selections like eggs Benedict and egg white burritos will also be on the menu, and no meal should cost more than $15. Doty is clear that despite the high-quality ingredients, the restaurant will not be a fine dining establishment.
