The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel, Mi Cocina, Another Ecco, More Coming Soon

1) Smyrna: The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. will be opening in mid-June bringing New York-style bagels made with Brooklyn water to metro Atlanta. Based in South Florida, each location of The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. features a proprietary "Brooklyn Water Works" system in-store, featuring a replica of an old Brooklyn water tower and oversized piping, valves, bells and whistles that allow diners to see how the water is purified. Located off Cobb Parkway, the bagel shop and deli will serve 17 types of bagels, including the elusive whole wheat everything, as sandwiches, pizza melts, "scooper melts" (for the health-conscious), and more. 2) Forest Park: Popular Fifth Group Restaurant Ecco will be joining The Original El Taco in Concourse F, the International Terminal, at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, What Now Atlanta announced today. The restaurant submitted an application for a 4,365-square-foot space. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

3) Midtown: The Tex-Mex chain Mi Cocina will finally be coming to Atlanta; the restaurant filed an application for a new patio and a new door on the 1080 Peachtree Street space, reports Midtown Patch. 4): Decatur: Revolution Donuts is more than halfway to its Kickstarter goal of raising $10,000 to build an espresso bar, retail counter and dining bar. Those who donate more than $10 are promised free donuts. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

5) More Decatur: The Pinewood Tippling Room will open May 15 in the old Cakes & Ale spot, UrbanDaddy reports. The all-wood pub will serve whiskey cocktails, oyster dip, funnel cakes and other random items. [PLYWOOD]
