SEA ISLANDCanoe Executive Chef Carvel Gould will be featured at the “Southern Grown” food and wine weekend at Forbes’s Five-Star Cloister at Sea Island June 22 to June 24. There, she will team up with Sea Island’s Chef Daniel Zeal to create a six-course Southern Grown Chehalem Wine Dinner (which costs $155 to attend). [EaterWire]

MORNINGSIDE – In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Allman Brothers Band album “Eat a Peach,” Rosebud is having six-course Georgia-grown peaches dinner June 21 at 7 p.m., during which, guests will rock out to the band’s music. The menu for the evening includes cured White Marble Farms pork tenderloin with grilled sweet potato, sorghum and peach chow-chow; as well as peach Johnny cakes with corn “pop” ice cream and peach jam.
