Charity 'Food Fight' Brings S'more Happiness to Campers

Atlanta restaurants have paired up with Camp Twin Lakes to raise awareness and funds for the organization in honor of its 20th anniversary. The restaurants are participating in a summer-long "food fight," or a face-off to see which local chef has the best camp-inspired menu item. From now through August, diners can order the camp-inspired menu items from one of 19 restaurants in the city, including FLIP, HD1, Cibo e Beve, and Takorea, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the organization. Diners can also vote on which dish they like the best and win prizes.

Camp Twin Lakes provides life-changing camp experiences for children facing serious illnesses, disabilities, and life challenges. The non-profit has overnight campsites and "camps to go" in hospitals to allow kids who might otherwise never be able to participate in a camping trip to do so in a safe, fun, enriching environment. Read more about the organization here.
