Atlanta restaurants have paired up with Camp Twin Lakes to raise awareness and funds for the organization in honor of its 20th anniversary. The restaurants are participating in a summer-long "food fight," or a face-off to see which local chef has the best camp-inspired menu item. From now through August, diners can order the camp-inspired menu items from one of 19 restaurants in the city, including FLIP, HD1, Cibo e Beve, and Takorea, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the organization. Diners can also vote on which dish they like the best and win prizes.
Camp Twin Lakes provides life-changing camp experiences for children facing serious illnesses, disabilities, and life challenges. The non-profit has overnight campsites and "camps to go" in hospitals to allow kids who might otherwise never be able to participate in a camping trip to do so in a safe, fun, enriching environment.
