Word's out that Chef Ford Fry, the man behind JCT Kitchen, No. 246 and just last month, The Optimist and The Oyster Bar at The Optimist, has plans to open yet another new restaurant come February. Says Fry, "This project has not quite signed yet so I can't quite speak to it. But it will be cool!"
As if that's not enough, Fry's playing with the idea of helping Taria Camerino (Sugar-Coated Radical) open another pastry shop. Camerino currently creates desserts for all four of his restaurants.
"She needs a shop! She is so talented. We have toyed with the idea of putting it in the adjacent space to The Optimist but we need to see how this location plays out first," Fry says. "The thought was breakfast and lunch where we could share the outdoor space of The Optimist and then use the shop for restaurant production at night and early morning." [PRE-PLYWOOD]
