Jon Watson at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution awards The Pinewood Tippling Room two stars. The cocktails are masterful— so masterful that Kessler had to make another trip before reviewing the restaurant because he lost a few details due to over-indulging— and use house-made syrups, bitters, and more. Kessler's biggest gripe with the food items on the menu is that they seem to be worded incorrectly. One dish is titled spicy but lacks heat and one has grits (albeit good ones) instead of masa. The problem lies in the service, which is consistently slow.
