Chefs Unite to Fight Childhood Hunger

Chefs Kevin Gillespie (Woodfire Grill) and Pano Karatassos (Kyma) and sommelier Niko Karatassos (Buckhead Life Restaurants) are teaming up to fight childhood hunger as part of the 6th annual Give Me Five event, benefiting Share Our Strength. The gourmet food and wine event will be held August 19 at the Cherokee Town Club in Buckhead, starting at 5 p.m.

Gillespie and Pano will work with Michael Diehl of East Lake Golf Club, Chef Anthony Gray of Southern Art and Bourbon Bar, Chef Eric Karell of St. Ives Country Club and Pastry Chef Heather Hurlbert of HH Desserts to create a five-course meal. Then Niko and Silvio Garcia of Cherokee Town Club, Andrés Loaiza of Aria, Matt Bradford of Canoe and Dorine Buche of BLT Steak will narrate the wine pairings.

The Bert Show's Jenn Hobby and WSB's Scott Slate will act as emcees throughout the evening. Tickets cost $275 per person or $2,500 for a table of 10.
