Reviews for STG Trattoria and More

Emily Hall

Creative Loafing’s Brad Kaplan thought STG Trattoria was too good to be true, so he decided to check it out for himself now that the restaurant has been serving customers for a few months. It shouldn’t be hard to go wrong with wood-fired pizzas and house-made pastas from an all-star lineup of chefs— or so he thought. But as it turns out, Kaplan found the food to be “hit or miss,” saying that although there are triumphs, like “achingly good” cold summer squash soup and “brilliantly bitter and aggressively seasoned” sausage and rapini pizza, there are also sometimes-soggy calzones and other lapses in timing and execution.
