Atlanta Wine School has announced the fall opening of Vino Venue, a tapas restaurant, wine bar, wine school and events facility all in one. Located in Dunwoody, Vino Venue will feature serve-yourself wine dispensing technology,as well as traditional bar pours, with nearly 50 wines available by the glass, and all of them available for take-home bottle purchase. Beer lovers can rest assured there will be something for them to drink, too. Who knew school could be so much fun?
The space is expected to have subdued lighting, wood floors and floor-to-ceiling wine racks. To soak up all that wine, the restaurant will offer tapas, flatbread and charcuterie including smoked salmon crostini with crispy capers, red onion and lemon aioli, cognac and pistachio pâté with course ground mustard and raspberry preserve, spicy andouille and sweet fig skewers, and heirloom beet and goat cheese salad with candied pecans and orange citronette.
As if that's not enough to wrap your head around after drinking all that wine, there will also be an "artisan market" selling wine accessories, bar items and cheeses, breads, pickled vegetables and cured meats from local vendors. The event space will host wine dinners, classes and more. [The Reynolds Group]
