Turning Mike LaSage's Monday Night barbecue from P'cheen into an everyday offering, Bone Lick BBQ opens today in West Midtown. The look LaSage, Alex Friedman, Keiran Neely (Georgiville Food Co.) and actor/investor David Cross are going for is "50s diner meets neighborhood barbecue joint," according to the press release, with brightly colored walls, 1950s refrigerators, a jukebox and a vintage skee-ball machine. There's even a bathtub filled with beer behind the recycled wood bar. Speaking of which, the LaSage-Friedman-Cross trio is trying to be as eco-friendly as possible. All booths and retail shelving in the restaurant were all made from repurposed wood and recycled materials.

There's a giant smoker out back and only Georgia beers on tap. Georgia wines will be available as well. Bone Lick will serve lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday with bar snacks like smoked pepper pork rinds and brunswick stew; sandwiches like New Dawg (house sausage, smoked onions, jalapeno and smoked cheddar); and entrees like the Brisketilicious (smoked brisket, Texas toast and a choice of side). Try the Fat Ass Sampler with ribs, brisket, sausage, pulled pork, chicken, Texas toast and two side. And for dessert, there's maple syrup-drizzled cotton candy rolled in bacon.
