The cover of Richard Blais's first cookbook, Try This at Home: Recipes from My Head to Your Plate, actually features his head on a plate. It'll be released from Clarkson Potter on February 26.
Clarkson Potter also published Atlanta chef Hugh Acheson's cookbook last fall, and that one happened to win a James Beard award. Maybe they'll go back for seconds this year with Blais's tome, which has a foreword from Tom Colicchio and 100-125 recipes in "Blais's signature style — a creative and often quirky approach to cooking and food."
