Craft Beer Tasting at Alon's, Dahlonega Wine Trail, More

DUNWOODY— There's a craft beer tasting at Alon's on Ashford Dunwoody Road on Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. The event, which will feature five beers from Cisco Brewers and Minhas Brewery, costs $15 a person to attend. Reservations can be made by calling (678) 397-1781.

DAHLONEGA— Saturday marks the start of the first Dahlonega Wine Trail Passport Weekend. Get a souvenir glass and a passport to six wineries, BlackStock, Cavender Creek, Frogtown Cellars, Montaluce, Three Sisters, and Wolf Mountain, for $25. The wineries will be open for the event on August 11 from 12 to 5 p.m. and August 12 from 12:30 to 5 p.m.

DECATUR— Non-profit organizations can apply for a Decatur Craft Beer Festival grant before 5 p.m. today. Last year's event donated almost $50,000 to organizations, and the form for this year's grant application can be found here. The 2012 festival will be held on October 20 and tickets go on sale September 17.
