1) Smyrna: The people behind Taverna Fiorentina are opening a second Italian trattoria this year. Mezza Luna Ristorante will start serving in September under the direction of co-owners Paolo Tondo, the chef, and Reyes Scott, the sommelier. [PLYWOOD]

2) Old Fourth Ward: A new outpost of Decatur's Dancing Goats Coffee Bar will open soon in Ponce City's marketing center at Glenn Iris and North Avenue. Follow Ponce City Goats on Twitter for details. Update: The shop will open on August 17. [PLYWOOD]

3) Decatur: New Street will soon be home to a new brewery. Three Taverns, which has been in the planning stages for four years, just signed a lease on a space and intends to start pouring brews by May 2013. According to founder Brian Purcell, the brewery raised 135% of what was needed to open the space, "says something about the industry and ... the strength of our business plan." [PRE-PLYWOOD]

4) Midtown: Later this year, Shaun Doty plans to take over the space currently being used for a Yumbii/Cafe at Pharr pop-up in Atlantic Station. This restaurant, not to be confused with his also forthcoming, also poultry-related Bantam & Biddy, will feature wood-grilled chicken. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

5) Tucker: A fifth Papi's Cuban Grill is set to open in Cofer Crossing very soon. The restaurant has other locations in Midtown, Kennesaw, Lawrenceville, and Stockbridge. [PLYWOOD]

6) Downtown: Sports fans will have another place to watch games when Hudson Grille opens later this year near the CNN Center and Philips Arena. The restaurant will be housed in the former Golden Buddha space. [PLYWOOD]
