VININGS Meehan's Public House is hosting a Duck-Rabbit Beer Dinner September 25 at 7 p.m. The dinner will showcase four different beers from the Duck-Rabbit brewery (a microbrewery in North Carolina), including Amber Ale, Brown Ale, Porter, and Milk Stout. The Duck-Rabbit Amber Ale be paired with a confit of duck pizza topped with ancho chili barbecue, smoked gouda, and a baby arugula salad. The dinner is $45 and concludes with milk chocolate crème brulee with Grand Marnier macerated strawberries. [EaterWire]

MIDTOWN - Taste of the Trucks is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the intersection of 8th Street and Spring Street. Nearly 30 food trucks, including Auburn BBQ and Just Loaf'n will be in attendance, and Abby Wren and saxophonist Dwan Bosman will provide live entertainment. Admission is $10 and includes three food truck taste tickets. A portion of the total proceeds from the event will benefit Metro Atlanta's Children's Restoration Network to support homeless children and mothers in the area.
